Well, this is exciting, we're on the cusp of finding out how 'un-expectant opportunities' pop up.

Just got my first app for Apple submitted, and approved. Which is a major accomplishment. That took about one month's of my time and rehashing, testing, re-testing. I was tempted to quit at one point because I could not get over the hump as the app crashed and burned.

I'm sure the Wright brothers didn't feel a bruise or two with their first plane.

How much will it make? I don't know, but at least I've tried.

I'm an optimist for good results: Apple has their products in more than 1/2 of American households and it will just grow. I know Apple well - I've invested in them a few years ago before their stock shot through the roof.

The killer aspect of the app is that it's so simple you just get it, which is exactly what I hope for from the public. Everyone been rooting for it, and we'll see how it goes. One good review, and a recommendation can be an overnight success vs. a slow death dirge into obscurity.

The thing that drove me to develop this app is it's simplicity and it's a great education experience doing this: it's not easy, and it's a challenge. It's not safe and have your app rejected by Apple - who was pretty detailed as to why they will just kick you out like a wet dog if your coding, your idea, your execution simply sucked.

The phrase, "don't come here - it's not amateur hour" scared me from almost trying, but what scared me more was not trying.

Well, it took about six months.

Sometimes it does take that much time to collect your thoughts and reflect.
Now it's time to really let the ink flow.

So if you've been wondering what's going on, it's going to be a flurry of activity.

GETTING OUR GROOVE BACK

It's been about three months since our journey started and one thing I learned is you need a routine still.

With all the travelling and the 'mini-projects' that took place both Michele and I got thrown off on a routine. The daily groove to focus, reflect and contemplate is so important. We're are very blessed at this time to breathe and not react to life. But one still must be intentional about things. We don't want to be willy-nilly about things and just cruise - there's a definitive goal of why we're out here.

So, once again, we'll be settling down to buy mornings for 'couple time' - talking, hiking, praying, walking. That's our RE-CONNECT time.

Some of our friends have been asking about the blog, and we've been so busy to stop and write, but now we're getting back into it.

Landing

It has been a crazy whirl wind of jetting, driving and hopping all around the United States.

• Completed a refresh of my mom's house
• Visited some good friends in Texas
• Finally settled in San Luis Obispo with the goal of learning some coding

I was struck with the realization that all this travel took away from the structure of developing our relationship between Michele and I. We have started the REFRESH, REVIVE and REINVENT but we're not hitting our strides for RE-VIVE.

As the husband I've been guilty of operating outside my role in this whirlwind. I tend to operate well on the 'on-the-fly' moment, but I've lose some structure. To 're-group' we've been reading a book called LOVE AND RESPECT and that means carving out time for Michele.

The REINVENT aspect of this trip is hitting some touchy points - especially with the real prospect we might not have kids of our own. Five miscarriages makes me gun-shy, but I was reminded very well by a friend, "NEVER SAY NEVER"...just keep the door opened.
